Moroccan Cuisine

I went to visit my mom this past weekend and had a great time. I have a friend who is Moroccan and since I'm obsessed with all things Moroccan she recommended a Moroccan restaurant in Dallas, TX called Medina. I've wanted to go for awhile now, so my mom and I took the plunge and went to Dallas to eat there for lunch. Wow! The food was amazing. I ordered Marrakesh chicken and my mom ordered the oven roasted chicken pizza. Although the cuisine was to die for, the interior decor was even better!

I recognized that pattern from Canada House & Home. I would love to use that fabric for our bedroom, but it comes in at $100 a yard so that won't be happening.

If you're ever in downtown Dallas you need to try Medina. You won't regret it!

  1. Sounds like a great mother-daughter weekend in Dallas. I wonder if the circle designs have a religious or cultural meaning? It could be a type of fertility symbol or have something to do with growth, energy, or creativity. As for fabric, you might be able to find it (more reasonably priced) in fabric stores in Dallas. In some areas, this type of fabric is not a speciality item, it is a staple.

  2. The sofa is awesome. I like the hard structure combined with comfy cushions and pillows. That couch would look good in my loft. Hmmm.
